Instructor:

I was first introduced to yoga in 1997 while I attended college at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. I have always been an active person with a background in gymnastics, modern dance and cheer leading. However, discovering yoga opened up a whole new world for me. I immediately fell in love with the way this practice made my body feel. At the time, I had no idea just how much this practice would change my life.
As I began to learn more about yoga and meditation, I became interested in metaphysics, astrology, and energy healing. All of these interest led me to California where I received a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology.

After moving to Florida, I taught group fitness at Sportsplex, taught Aura cardio dance and explored the world of pole fitness. During this time I found Yoga-Mix and practiced yoga two to three times a week at my lovely home studio. One evening I received a phone call letting me know that Sportsplex was closing the doors effective immediately and not to worry about teaching in the morning. They say when one door closes another shall open and that is just what happened for me. I loved creating my own classes and having the freedom of creativity. At that time, I could not find a gym or studio that would offer me that and so I decided not to teach group fitness. That decision was the catalyst for the deepening of my personal practice. For the past five years, I have practiced yoga five to seven times a week. I have practiced mixed level, power, yin, restorative, jivamukti, gentle, and ashtanga. I immersed myself in workshops and within the yoga community.

My love and passion for yoga is such an integral part my life and therefore it only seemed natural to evolve and continue my yoga journey as a teacher. I will be forever a humble yoga student excited and grateful to explore, learn, grow, and evolve with each and everyone of you! I look forward to seeing you on your mats. Namaste
