Instructor:
Tamara took her first yoga class in 2012, an Ashtanga practice that challenged her many unexpected ways. At first, she relied on flexibility to get through the poses, but quickly learned that without proper alignment and strength, that approach led to strain and imbalance. This realization shifted her focus toward mindful movement, emphasizing alignment, strength, and breath. Through dedicated practice, Tamara not only cultivated a deeper understanding of my body’s patterns and postural tendencies but experienced the transformative benefits of yoga: mental clarity, patience, and a deeper connection to herself and others.
With over 1,000 hours of teaching experience, Tamara has been guiding students for the past eight years, designing intelligent, well-structured classes that emphasize proper alignment, functional movement, and strength. Her teaching approach integrates creative sequencing and cueing to help students build awareness of their postural habits, allowing them to move with greater efficiency and ease both on and off the mat. A graduate of Regenerative Living School (300RYT) and Yoga Den (200RYT), Tamara is passionate about sharing the insights she's gained through years of practice and study.
Outside the studio, Tamara is an elementary educator and an avid outdoors enthusiast. When not teaching, you can often find her hiking, paddling, or fly fishing Florida’s waterways with her husband, Will
